Getting Started
Your first steps on PendulumCreating your account
Download the Pendulum app by visiting pendulumm.pages.dev on your phone and tapping the download button.
On the login screen tap Sign Up and enter your college email address.
Check your email for a 6 digit OTP and enter it on the verification screen.
Complete your profile by entering your name, branch, year, and skills. This is required before accessing the app.
You are in. Your college guild is automatically assigned based on your email domain.
Tip: Use your official college email ending in .ac.in or your college domain to ensure your guild is correctly assigned.
Understanding your UID
Every Pendulum user gets a unique ID in the format PEND-XXXXXX. This is how others can find and add you as a Mate. You can find and copy your UID from your Profile tab.

National Rank
Your college's current position among all guilds on Pendulum.
Guild Points
Total combined points earned by all members of your college.
Streak
How many consecutive days you have been active on the app.
Guild Tier
Your guild's current tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold) based on total points. A progress bar shows how far you are from the next tier.
Active Quests
Daily and weekly quests you can complete to earn points. Tap Claim or Share to complete them.
Upcoming Events
A preview of the latest hackathons and events. Tap View All to see the full events list.
Feed
Share resources, wins, and updatesHow to create a post
Tap the Feed tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the compose button to open the post creation screen.
Write your post. You can attach an image using the media button.
Tap Post to publish. Your post appears in the feed for all guild members and mates.
Tip: Sharing a resource through the Share Resource quest gives you +30 points. Post useful content to earn while contributing to your community.
Chat
Guild chat, group chat, and direct messagesChat types
Guild Chat
A shared chat room for everyone in your college. Good for announcements, questions, and general campus discussion.
Group Chat
Smaller group conversations. Useful for project teams or friend groups within your college.
Direct Messages
One on one private messages with your Mates. You can only DM users you are connected with.
How to send a DM
Make sure you are connected with the person as a Mate first.
Tap the Chat tab and find them in your conversations list.
Tap their name to open the conversation and start messaging.
Leaderboard
See where your college stands nationallyLeaderboard tabs
Guilds
National ranking of all college guilds by total guild points.
Players
Individual student rankings by personal points across all colleges.
My College
Rankings within your own college only. See the top contributors on your campus.
Tip: If your guild is outside the top 10 nationally, your college still appears at the bottom of the list with its actual rank so you always know where you stand.
Profile
Your identity on PendulumWhat's on your profile
UID
Your unique Pendulum ID. Share this with others so they can add you as a Mate. Tap the copy icon to copy it.
Points, Streak, Status
Your total earned points, current daily streak, and your status title based on your points level.
Dark Appearance
Toggle between dark and light theme. Dark is enabled by default.
Academic Portfolio
Your year, branch, and skills. Tap Edit Info to update these at any time.
Notifications
Toggle push notifications on or off. When enabled you receive alerts for messages, friend requests, and events.
Events
Stay on top of hackathons and campus eventsHow events work
The Events tab shows upcoming hackathons, meetups, and workshops relevant to college students. Events are curated and added by the Pendulum team.
View Details
Tapping an event shows full details. Tap View Details to open the official registration link in your browser.
Event Notifications
You will receive a push notification when a new event is added to Pendulum.

Status levels
Achievements
Milestone badges that live on your profileHow achievements work
Achievements are earned automatically when you hit certain milestones. They appear as badge icons on your Profile and stay permanently once earned.

Mates
Your connections on PendulumHow to add a Mate
Ask the person for their Pendulum UID in the format PEND-XXXXXX. They can find it on their Profile tab.
Go to your own Profile tab and scroll to the Mates section.
Enter their UID in the search box and tap Search.
Send them a friend request. They will receive a notification and can accept or decline.
Once accepted they appear in your Mates list and you can start a direct message conversation.
Tip: You can only DM users who are your Mates. Add your classmates to unlock private messaging with them.
